Then Jesus said, "Come to Me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. (NLT)
Fixing a bow tie
"Daddy, my tie came undone".
Our precious, little son held his hand up to his Daddy. A little string of fabric was all that was left of his bow tie. We were in a hurry to get to our destination and his bow tie was an important part of his dress code.
My husband took the unravelled fabric and held it, wondering how to re assemble it. Although he is mechanically gifted, designing children's bow ties is not his specialty. He prayed. Then, in his mind, he saw it being put back together. He did what he saw and quickly the problem was solved.
Sometimes in our lives, we can have things come "undone" and we don't know how to put them back together again. We need to "see" how to fix things. This knowledge comes from the Word of God. In the Bible, we learn what to do and how to do it. Then we need to obey God's Word. When we "see" what is good and right, we need to "do" what is good and right. Let us follow God's pattern.
Finally, in the fifth year you may eat the fruit. If you follow this pattern, your harvest will increase. I am the LORD your God. Lev. 19:25
